Hi all, here is #002 finished. Came out much better than #001. Even got a wave on it the other day which was pure stoke. Hope to get many more. Board is 7’0 X 20.5 X 3’1/8X 14 x 11. Nose came out way to narrow which was a mistake of templating and screening of the nose rail. nose is also a little asymetrical too. Any advice on how to make my next board more curvier etc? Next board will be a more fuller template.

Nice job on #2. Good to hear you got some good stoke on it already. As far as achieving the “curvier” board you’re after or any design aspect for that matter, one word for you my friend. PRACTICE. You mentioned yourself how much better this one came out than the last one. Well guess what, your next one will be that much better than this one as well. As far as this one goes it may as well been a case of not taking more off further back on the rail as much as it was taking too much off the nose further up the rail (hard to tell with the pic sideways , try rotating the pic when you’re resizing/ compressing it next time). One thing that I’ve found helps me TREMEMNDOUSLY is a fresh set of eyes. This could come from just enough time to walk away and go have a drink or lunch or work on some other project etc. Sometimes waiting till the next day will reveal quite a few things that you may have not seen before. If you’re not doing production what’s the rush. Relax; come back later with a different perspective and fresh set of eyes. Hope you get some more good rides on it in the near future and drawn some more inspiration for #3.
