hello i am Roy Stewart’s Son James and i thought that you might like to have a look at some photos of my new board.
Here's a few more photos of the 10'9". The dimensions are 10'9" + 27"+ 1 3/4"
Right on James!
Pat
Nice! Did you make that or did your dad make that…or did both of you make it?
I made it (my dad did help with the lamination though) i have just been shaping it some more
so I will get some more photos up soon
Awesome, James! I hope my kids get ahold of my tools some day and have some fun.
I noticed its not quite finished; I hope you don’t mind if I fin it for ya
Hope I did it right…

Very stoked to see your sense of humor is as intact as your pop’s.
Well done, James. Post up some video once you get it sussed, will you?
Ben
Very nice…
I like the tear drop look and its only 1 3/4" thick, about the same as mine is in the tail and nose…
Are you planing on glassing it or will it be epoxy coated only.
cheers
beauty James !
are you 16 , the same age as Josh and ‘the king of dub’ here ?
If so , mate …I wish I made boards when I was 16.
How narrow is that tail , 12" up ?
and the nose rocker …how much ?
cheers
ben
yes i can and how about some GPS readings as well
Thanks, no it won’t be glassed its too much trouble and the board doesn’t need it because the wood is much harder than foam
Cool board! But now your dad’s gonna get ANOTHER copy of Quiver™ in his inbox every month… LOL!
Seriously, nice work there James, lets see some stylin’ on that beast eh!!
no I am still 15
about the and the tail and the rocker it has 4 and 1/8" of rocker
and a 7 and 1/8" tail
12" up
you’ll see plenty of speed watever happens
I have fully shaped the board now
and have applyed the first deck coat. as soon as the resin hit the deck the colours came out and it looks amazing it’s got pink, yellow, white, brown and gold streaks all over the deck
Beats foam!
Pawlonia?
I had no idea it had so much figuring.
Is it spalted?
a bit but I’ve seen a lot more on
kauri.
But paulonia is the best wood I have worked with by far
PS the board weighs 37 pounds

James, is that after all the epoxy has been layered on? because I added a few pounds of weight to my wooden board by doing the 6-8 thick coats of epoxy instead of glass route that your father suggested. It’s worked great; I’ve bumped the board on the rocks a couple times and absolutely no ding at all! By the way, if you’re ever in California I’ve got a super lightweight performance wooden fish you should try… only 18 lbs! Love the coloring on the board.

Hi James -
That is one beautiful board! I’m sure your dad is proud and rightfully so.
I can only imagine the wonderful glide.
