It does sound like fun.
I’ve thought about a paddle board for the summer here in Santa Cruz when the ocean turns into a lake.
Can you post some pic’s?
Also, have you had any neck problems paddling for long periods of time? Some of the guys I’ve seen paddling boards outside the kelp bed look like they use some sort of forehead rest to take the load off their necks.

the guy is about 5’5 and 135lbs, the board is twice his size …

sorry, I’m a surf/paddle addict who doesn’t yet own a surf/paddle board.
I’ve been doing 6 + mile sessions on my 9’0"… Surf every break from abs to the OB pier in about three hours. Gotta love sneaking up on people–they turn around and go “where the hell did you come from???”
By the way, you can make a simple head rest out of a few coozies (the beer can coolers). Just cut a few up and stick them inside of one, then duck tape it (up side down) to the deck. Super ghetto, but it works.
