Here are some more pics that I took when I got it home. I could look at this board for hours. I’ve decided to take SammyA advice and get it water tight and surf it once in awhile to honor that era.

In The future please lay that board on The lawn and not the concrete. Show some respect and reverence for this Icon.
What the gods giveth they can take away.
Thanks for posting the Pics It’s a great find at a really good price.
Let’s see a close-up shot of the fin, in profile.
Here’s a pic of the fin. I can see a couple of pieces of thin wood strips in the fin.
Artz, I can appreciate your enthusiasm about the board. I laid the board down like it was a newborn baby…trust me nothing at all happened to the board.I wanted to get a good outline picture of the board and I thought since the board was green it might blend in a little with the grass. Nothing is going to happen to this piece of art. I have respect for the board, that era and icon, that’s why I bought it.
While that photo doesn’t show it, I thought I saw wood in there. Known as a “chopstick” fin. Some collectors find that feature desirable, as it’s pretty rare. I think you scored a real collectible. I would try to contact Hap Jacobs and send him photos at the very least.
Hey Sammy,
If you look at the photos I posted before this one you can see the two strips of wood in the fin. I think those are the chopsticks that you’re talking about. I’ll try to contact Hap, if possible. Thanks.
Yes. That’s why I asked for another photo. I should have told you to make sure it was back lit, so the sticks would be obvious. Anyway, my guess was correct and you really should follow up in conatacting Hap J.
