Trying some new (old) stuff besides the resin swirls and tints. We have been working a lot with pigment on the hotcoat lately. Sometimes we combine it with the opaques, tints, and swirls. Let me know what you think.

Looks super clean, for a jailbird. How does it ride though, thats the important question? I’ve been thinking of shaping a 3 fin bonzer next. Anyone know where to get the 3 fin siderunners from? True Ames maybe?

Hey Jon,
We have had great reports from our slug and slug bonzer. The slug/bonzer is more of a performance board than your typical egg type board but still has the egg type wave catching characteristics. We have both our five fin bonzer longboard fins and our slug bonzer fins custom made by Larry Allison (sp?) in California. He carries all types so he should be able to hook you up. We personally don’t like the typical long triangle type of bonzer fins so we designed our own but if that is what you want I am sure he makes them.

That’s pretty cool Troy
So do you do a clear lam, then tape off and do each color at a time, letting each stripe kick off before you do the next?
Whats up Boots. We glassed the board as usual using opaque red pigment and double cut laps. Then hotcoat as usual and sand up to 100 grit. Tape off the nose for the black stripes on one side shoot the pigment stripes hot. Tape off the bottom for black stripes and repeat. Tape off for the white stripes top and bottom and repeat as above. Clean up the edges and sand with 220 grit. Lay down the gloss coat and polish.

Hi chipfish61 and Kensurf, Austins Bonzer style fins will be sprayed the later part of this week and sent to Austin for his boards that are done and post some pics for you. Mahalo,Larry
Opinions are like…
I personally do not like this type of stripe but some big names in San Diego sell them for top dollar. Interesting how you glassed the colors. I love this stuff. Thanks for letting us know how it’s done. More Hot Rod boards please !!!

I couldn’t find a picture of the 3 fin bonzer set up but I found a few of the 5 fin bonzer.
Austin, I have to say I am always WOW!!! when I see your installs with ProBox. The clean look and color work added to the installs, I have to say alot of the Swaylockians that install ProBoxes are pretty dam clean. That’s what kills me when I go into some of the big production shops and the guys tell me ProBox is hard to install and the installs look like CRAP!! And the Swaylockians installs look insane and PREFECT always blows my mine the talent all you guys have. Keep up the beautiful and creative work my Swaylockian Friends, I enjoy seeing and experiencing your STOKE!! MAHALO, Larry
