3 quik tings

1- anthony ruffo busted again for being a meth dealer, can't they finally put this guy away , who has ruined so many santa cruz kids, not mention

he was in the water on a ski when peter davie died at ghost tree...

2- those shaper stands in the surfshop are very nice, charlie made me one, and i love it.

3- shameless plug, but i really need to sell my 1968 dewey weber ski also in the surf shop

i won't bore you with a lame sob story, just need to get it done..soon.

thanx for listening...

I had 1969 Weber Ski.......Synthetic Kinetic Instinct(SKI)

Good board for a 16 yr old hip teenager.

yeah it is a trippy smooth rail to rail, wave machine,

however, i am so " addicted" to my

liddle hull, and soon to be shaped mp hull by bj at fineline,

and my 6.6 moonfish..with goofy sponfish fin(see thalia surf shop)..damn thing works..well

and of course my logs, and SUP whe itr gets tiny or flat here..

well, i i am not a wall hanging type of guy..not that board shouldn't be hung,

i just believe in riding the sticks in one's quiver.. often

and unfortunately my 2yr old daughter is having some problems..so i need the cash... quick.

Your going to love your mp from fineline and I am so stoked w/ my 6’10" it will never leave my quiver. Great board for groveling to good waves beach break to point.

yup i had one a 6.4 wee short for me..along with a 6.4 m3p by greg liddle again

a liddle short

weber sold...original owner got it back..hmm karma

or what....anyway, thank-you to all

for the genuine responses and kind words...

mahalo

From Tablings shop?  Mine had a tear drop acid splash Iggy tint on the bottom … so totally bitchin … I’m listening to VooDoo Child right now as I’m writing this!

From Atlantic Beach Surf Shop—North Carolina. Mine had a tear drop outline only.

Had a lot of surf sessions on that board with my good friend Buddy Pelletier.  The Buddy contest is this weekend in AB.

Did Harold Iggy shape the Weber Ski's?

f99

yup..must be why the original owner wanted it back..so bad..

a shall we say unnamed jax beach gentleman..

especially after tweeked it  with juan's fin...

like i said good karma all around for everyone

including my lil' squirt...who is doing better...

Buddy … great guy … surfed with him a lot.  One of the two best switch footers ever.  Couldn’t even tell the difference. Tom Morrow’s shop … still there isn’t it?

They were shaped on leveling jigs and Iggy did the rails.  Webers factory was pretty ahead of it’s time.

Buddy was a regular foot surfer, but some of the best photos of him were riding goofy. A very smooth and stylish surfer, Buddy made it look so easy. I really miss that guy.

Atlantic Beach Surf Shop is Tom Morrow's shop. Still going strong and being run by his two son's. And along with Marsh's and Bert's Surf Shop, Atlantic Beach has 3 really nice surf shops.

Greg, didn't you win one of the pro contests in AB back in 1979 1980 or 1981? I seem to remember your board had vents from the deck to the bottom. Was this to introduce air to bottomside of board for better performance? It must have worked, since you won!

Oh, who do you consider to be the other great switchfooter, Jock Sutherland?

f99

okay..enougfh of the hijack...that board is sold.

let's get back to  a scumbag former pro surfer who destroys our groms with meth

he took down flea, and almost peter mel..thank-god for his wife...

don't believe me ask steiny, motif, von wessles, enframed..etc

and of course charkie's shaping stands..awesome using as we speak..

by the way we have some nice clean 2-4' ese swell here in jax

and my new 7.6  sh/t le grande chimiganga( cause mine's bigger than a burrito)

is doing great,,so that answesr the question do hulls work here?

..i'd say yup.

I did win one there … the Strows contest.  Had Wes Laine in the finals … poor guy surfed through the losers bracket … about 12 heats.  Final came and he could barely paddle.  79 I think.  Yea, that board was an air sucker.  Funny, Slater is experimenting with that now.  Vinny Bryan originated the surf design … got the idea from race boats.  Joey Bernal was the other switch guy.  You could tell when Jock was surfing switch.  Buddy and Joey you couldn’t.  Joey was a Miami guy who surfed Sebastian with us in it’s heyday.  Real good surfer … used to surf with him in HI.  Saw him surf Sunset regular and goofy.  Saw him surf Pipe and Backdoor … both frontside.

… and yee haw! just in time for the release of the westsiders… another glorification of the ubiquitous downward spiral-just pick a sport! archie, jay adams, and many more-this story is old and told. why do people consider these stale plots so compelling? i dunno, farts are still funny and of course have been around since the beginning of humanity. what’s that- 5,000 years now?  it will follow the same formula; starts with surfing and a “he was so great” segment, followed by various accounts of embellished drug/surf tales,  then we get a taste of how terrible their childhood was, followed by the now everything is great conclusion. maybe even sam george gets a bit in this to nail it shut. his bits are so corny you get a really good laugh.

i sympathize for ruffo. that poor bastard will be kicking himself in the ass with both feet after this one. doing time at 46 won’t be real fun.

he was in the water on a ski when peter davie died at ghost tree…”

yeah- i’d like to read that toxicology report. heard the same story about foo too. and here barry bonds is still getting it. those DA’s would have a hay-day in the big wave surfing world!

peter davie..autopsy showed he was flying on meth..

wonder he and ruffo "re-fuled: in  the water

the next to go down hard will be kenny skindog collins..volcom poster boy..
