5'5" singlefin?

After reading through a LOT of topics and seeing what a great collection of knowledge and talent there is here, I figured I’d pose my question.

I’m planning on designing and shaping my first board with a local shaper. My goals/ideas so far are as follows:

  • About 5’5"x19x2 3/4

  • 2+1 fin setup (maybe a quad as well)

  • Anything but a swallow tail

  • Designed for typical Florida waves (mushy, poorly formed)

  • Capable of handling non-Florida waves (clean, sizeable)

If you guys have any feedback on whether a singlefin would even be feasable in this design or if I’m simply demanding too much from one board I’d love to hear it. Advice on rocker, rail, foil, tail, you name it, I want help. Thanks!!!
