6'0 fish

I am going to be making a fish for my friend. It is going to be 6’0" and i have no clue what the width and the thickenss should be because i have never shaped a fish before. I am going after the …lost round nose fish style. Any concaves or anything like that

sigh…the usual…weight, where surfing, size waves, you know the drill

You can make it any length you want, but a flat rockered twin fin is best served much shorter, especially with the wide tail and in your case, wide hips between the rider’s feet.

If said rider is just learning, size can be ANY size.

If said rider is expert, better go 5’6 range, for 170 lbs. About 22 wide, but you seem to be copying a more modern swallow, rather than a true fish.

I’ve found this, maybe it’s what you are looking for.

dimension for the board pictured:

6’2" x 19" x 23/8" rocker is

nose:4 3/4 tail: 2 1/8

Spazman,

Have you checked the archives and looked at the photo archives? There’s tons of info there. Mike
