6ft 4 HSW wombat build

so i started a 6ft4 cedar HWS made from left over cedar fasica from work. I ripped it down to 6mm planks and made the skins.

the board is set up for small mushy waves. nose lift 3 1/4 tail 1 1/2. so far i got skins glued up and bottom skin glued to frame. just glassed the inside of the top skin

theres a pic on the template of the backbone showing the board thickness and foil.

anyway heres some pics. will keep pics rolling

hey guys i decided to leave it as a " bar of soap" and go with square tail instead of bat tail. i did the lam on deck tonight. will do bottom tomorrow.

sorry pics are not that good i think time for a new camera.

cheers antony

Read through the “bars of soap” thread and then get back to us with the new tail shape.

What about leaving it as is ala mini-simmons?

My swallow tail fish has been totally neglected since I’ve discovered the way my mini-simm can pivot.

Beautifull board mate, tell us how it goes. I reckon it'll go great

sorry  guys its been a bit of a lame build thread but shes all done keen as to surf tomorrow should be shoulder high and clean at my local .

rocker/foil

How’d it go?? Im guessing she’s fast

that thing looks like a blast

Nice. That'd fly at your local.

karl

yeah guys she flys!!! and paddles better than my last 8ft board. I am real happy with it and planning to shape a foam board just like it but only a little shorter.

the down side is that she is a hard board to duck dive.

cheers guys

Hi Antony,
Yep that looks like a speed machine!

Nice timber, what did the final wight come in at, has it got one of the Greenlight vents, I still have not installed mine yet but they look really good aye…
