Sounds about right is it’s a collector model as his 9’0 standard cheap poly’s are running $1300-$1500 retail.

And worth every penny of it, any other craft, guitar, boats, etc. and the price is double to triple that. A man who had dedicated his ENTIRE adult life to bulding the best bigwave boards money can buy. Now, it’s about time these masters get their just rewards

Over the weekend I saw a hollow balsa Brewer funboard on consignment for $2400. Sounds like a steal. According to two surfers who have been ordering their boards from R.B. for years, the cost of a getting a custom shape from the man has been constantly rising because of increased demand from buyers in Japan.
