9'1" Longboard Fin

G’day!

I’ve got this awesome malibu. Single fin, finbox etc. On Tuesday I was surfing and somehow managed to rip 6" square of fibreglass of the nose.

So its time to get some ding repairs done maybe do a bit of a colour on it and get a different fin going.

This is the fin i’m currently riding with it. 10"

It turns pretty good and noserides well but feels a bit dull on that board.

I’m trying to find a style of fin that is user freindly and retains a level of performance (ie. turns nicely, does floaters, noserides well etc) but has a unique feel about it. Something classic and single fin but unique feeling.

Can anyone describe a fin for the board.

Cheers Josh.

ps… this is the fin a freind rides in a 9" version. I like the way it goes.

i’ve got a very light/responsive 9’0" pintail that i ride with a 9" farberow flex fin…great fin, suits the board well.

i try to amass a large, diverse collection of fins. i’m constantly searching eBay for a good deal on any fin shape that i don’t already have. get some buddies together and do a little fin trade off. find out what works best.
