A bit of help needed for a very special project

Hello,

Few weeks before the closing of Clarkfoam, I ordered some Malibu blanks in France by Seabase (the European importer for Clark….EX……).

Two very nice blanks came along , a 10’7” 3 stringers (red wood) and an 10’1” 2” t-band balsa ( as to be seen on the photos).

The first one is dedicated to a very good friend of mine, Barry. We are on the making and I would like to have any input or comments from the Swaylocks community. I have been shaping for more than 6 years now, but specialized in short boards and real fishes, old school Malibu’s are a bit alien to me.

I jointed a photo of a longboard in the making (who needs sanding, pin line and gloss) and some of the clean bottom of the 10’7” with outline traced.

I also join a PDF file of the outline.

Please feel free to shoot at will. Any help will be very very welcome as this project has a very special meaning to Barry, me, and the local surfer community here in The Hague, Holland.

Thank you in advance

Regards

Arnaud Bezat

Hi, Your longboard looks sweet, would love to see the bottom contours - Concave - rolled…? What fin are you using? glass on or fin box? very nice!

Hi , THX for the comment, we are planning on putting a 1/2" deep spoon till 6 ’ front of the center point, the rest will be rolled all over…

regards

Arnaud

Nice board. Did you go single fin glassed or box?

Saw a similar board to this in The Hague a little while back at Hart shop.

Hi, box , cause the customer wanted it , here some pics of the finished board.

THx to all of Swaylock’s for support

Beautiful job - well done! And you’re asking for advice around here?!
