Bad luck on the mal, it is/was a nice looking board, BUT you got a new blank, an offer from Hicksy to help fix the mal and a wave capable of snapping said mal? That’s doing alright- here’s a pic from my local- I’m about ready to cry from lack o’surf.

OUCH! I guess we both have sucky waves but my crappy surf looks warmer than your crappy surf!
Not that I should complain, I have much work to do so no surf temptation is good. I like the frankenboard idea, Keith and Bill's seems pretty hot so why not an Swayoz monster?
