Adjustable Bottom Area Concept

It’s just the engineering behind it that seems complicated to me. But then, I know bugger all about engineering and schematics(?) The idea is certainly interesting though I think. No doubt quite feasible too if you know about that side of things. Also I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned aeronautics so far (plane wings) but I think the majority of wings are chambered? So maybe there is something similar in that engineering wise.

(Chuckling) Yeah, well, the nice thing about enslaving bivalves ( yes, they are, primarily M. Mercenaria and C. Virginiatica ) is that they can’t sing protest songs to make me feel guilty about it. Breed 'em, raise 'em, then rip 'em out of the bottom and feed 'em to the Great Unwashed. Or me, if the market ain’t so hot. It’s a beautiful thing…

“Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Crustaceans”, that is:

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,

"To talk of many things:

Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–

Of cabbages–and kings–

And why the sea is boiling hot–

And whether pigs have wings."

“But wait a bit,” the Oysters cried,

"Before we have our chat;

For some of us are out of breath,

And all of us are fat!"

“No hurry!” said the Carpenter.

They thanked him much for that.

“A loaf of bread,” the Walrus said,

"Is what we chiefly need:

Pepper and vinegar besides

Are very good indeed–

Now if you’re ready, Oysters dear,

We can begin to feed."

Ah- who sez shellfish are all that smart, mistaking the 4th of July for Guy Fawkes Night.

O Oysters," said the Carpenter,

"You’ve had a pleasant run!

Shall we be trotting home again?’

But answer came there none–

And this was scarcely odd, because

They’d eaten every one.
