I have finally started my first board. I have skinned the blank , added a bit of rocker, and foiled it. As its my first board I’d like some feedback/advice/suggestions…
Thickness:
Tail (up 6") - 1 3/4"
Tail (up 12") - 2"
Middle - 2 7/8"
Nose (up 12") - 1 7/8"
Nose (up 6") - 1 3/4"
Templete dimensions:
Length - 6’8"
Nose - 18 3/4"
Middle - 21 1/2"
Tail - 14 3/4"
I started out with a Becker 7’3" blank. I wanted something a bit smaller - but this is what they had in stock…
So - what do you guys think? Do I need to mow more foam - procede to the rails? I’m I totally off? Below are some pictures of the blank to give you a bit of visual reference…Thanks -
Probably the reason no one has replied yet is you need to tell us what kind of board your after. Everything looks good, probably not a board I would enjoy too much but for you it may be perfect. What features are you looking for in the board?
But its your first board, just go with it and don’t over analize anything. Just make it so it looks good to you and then surf it and see how it works. That is the best way to learn I think.
