Advice for new board

I am updating my short board and am looking at getting feedback on design. The board I was using for waves up to 4 foot was a 6 foot  al merrick pod style thruster. I loved it but want to extend the range of waves I could surf it on so was thinking similar shape but 5 fin system. I like the speed and ability to get through flat sections on smaller surf but want to maintain manouverability. I am 52 years old and 75-80kg.

Thinking the quad option in the 5 fin system would enable me to take the board to 6-7 foot or super fast smaller waves. Looking to cut back to 2 boards. The every day board and the 7 foot pintail.

Any feedback?

Looking for advice on rocker, rail shape, etc.

As I will get custom i would need to give dimensions. etc

Just get one that floats you! Rails, rocker, v, concaves etc is complicated! It could be “personal”, or whatever works for you. More rocker tends to loosen up s board at a cost of drag…flatter rocker tends to plane faster and not always turn as well. But shapers do combine different combinations of any rocker depending on the purpose… I myself prefer small to medium size stuff myself. Big waves are a gnarly drop, a sucking out monstor arm like lip that could probably snap a spine…so big gnarly drop, killer lip, and bogus flat shoulder…doesn’t sound like fun to me. It sounds to me like a good way to drown… so get something geared for safe, sane + insane sized fun surf!:open_mouth:
