I Laminated a board this last weekend and ended up with some air bubbles on the bottom of the board up by the nose. How mdo I fix these, or do I just leave them and hot coat over them?
Pictures?
depends how bad it is, but just open them up with a fresh razor. patch with cloth and lam resin, you can sand flush when hard enough or just hotcoat over.
Here are some pictures of the Air Bubbles in the Lam.
I posted some pictures of the air bubbles, check them out!
I sometimes mix up a small batch of resin, like an ounce or two polyester and try to work it into the bubbles without cutting. Sometimes works sometimes doesn’t, depends on if the resin is still able to penetrate through. If that doesn’t work then go with the cut and patch method pico posted.
If the bubbles are big, weigh them down with a small sand bag after cut and patching. Put wax paper over it, but you’ll have to rough it when dry to remove the wax paper residue before hotcoat.
