airbrush between fiberglass layers??

I have just finished shaping my first blank and am getting ready to fiberglass. I was wondering if you could airbrush graphics in between the two top layers of fiberglass?

From what I have found regarding airbrushing, I am a little nervous spraying directly to the foam (incase I make a mistake) and it sounds like it is easy to sand threw the pant if painted under the hotcoat. Since I have not found any information on airbrushing between the two top layers of glass, I am guessing that it weakens the bond between these two layers. Any help would be great.

You have to be really careful when sanding the glosscoat if you paint under a hotcoat. If you aren’t concerned with weight, you can laminate 4 oz. clear over the painted area, hotcoat, sand, gloss. If the graphics are on one side, just do a single side.

the trick is you glass the board with a single 4 both side, light hotcoat and sand with 100grit.

paint you design and glass another layer over. keep going the hotcoast as usual.
