airbrush...Iwata...nozzle size?

i’m looking into buying a nice Iwata RG-3 spray gun for use on surfboards and a few of my other hobbies. my question is what size nozzle to get…what’s the difference there? they offer .4, .6, and 1mm fluid nozzle orifices. i’ll mostly be using this for general coloring, nothing too intricate. i have a smaller airbrush for that…

anyone?

Howzit 207, The .4 and .6 mm tips will work for detail work and the 1.mm is big enough to spray whole boards. Having multiple tip sizes is always a good thing since you can use the same air brush gun by just changing tipp sizes.Aloha,Kokua

thanks kokua, i’ve gone with the 1mm. i believe i can purchase additional smaller nozzles later on with this gun if need be.

Howzit 207, That's the thing to do, just make sure you get the right wrenches to switch the nozzles they can be a little hard to take off.Aloha,Kokua

I was going to suggest a 1.2mm tip for a production spray gun and under 1mm for finer stuff. That’s what I am getting.

Howzit deanbo, Having as many different noozle sizes as possible is a good thing.Aloha,Kokua

Thanks for that.
