Airbrush stuffup

I have just had a major stuff up with an attempted airbrush design. Got the shits with it and wiped off most of the paint (water based acrylic). It has left the blank a light blue colour from the paint I couldn’t get rid of. What I want to know is could I do a pigmented foam stain over the top to hide this ugly sucker. Will it stick to the blank? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Howzit Gill, have you tried sanding off the paint,it doesn’t take much to get it off. Other wise an opaque pigment will probably work if you make it really opaque with quite a bit of pigment mixed in the resin.Aloha,Kokua

Thanks Kokua, you’d have to be the most helpful guy here. Solved the problem, lightly sanded most of the paint off and re-sprayed another design over the top. The reason I had so many hassles was that I used contact (the book covering plastic stuff) to cut out and stencil some designs straight onto the foam. It did’t stick properly and the paint bled under the edges. So much for experimentation eh… probly work on a sanded hot coat though.

Aloha.

Craig.

Howzit Gill, One trick I use is instead of blowing off the blank with air I vacumn the foam dust off for the best adhesion. I have used contact paper before and it stuck just fine after using vacumn. Use a shop vac with a soft home vac brush for best results.Aloha,Kokua
