Can you use a regular compressor for one of these tools, or do you need to have the special air compressor for the tools? Thanks. Rob
Sure, you can! Get water traps, though! T.
you can even use a spare tire if you want to. Or a Co2 tank. Or they also sell premixed compressed air canisters. Sorta like a can of spray paint but with compressed air. Might be nice to try once to see if you like it, but they are costly in the long run. Probably the best bet is a single stage electric air brush compessor, the’re not to expensive, maybe around a $100. But like the last guy said, you’ll need a water trap that screws into the machine end of the compressor. this traps excess moisture in the compressed air before it gets to you paint mix and sends a pretty blob of water on your work. i use a small airbrush compressor. i think Badger makes it. it’s prob. about 12" . should i be using a water trap for this, and where can i get one?
Using a water trap would depend on a couple of things. If you live in a humid area, then yes you should definitly have one. If you a re doing a lot of small detail work then yes you should have ne. If you are doing very simple large areas. or rail fades and live in dry area then you might not need one. I’d try online at some airbrush specialty store. or if you live near a large arts store that carries airbrushes. Drew
