Aku Shaper (asp3000) -- Walkthrough function?

Hey guys. Maybe I’m just an idiot, but the help section which discusses slices mentions a “WALKTHROUGH function” and I can’t find the damn thing… So what is this walkthrough function, and how do I use it? It sounds fun…

My guess is that it’s the idea that you can click on the profile and, holding down the mouse button, see how the slices flow into each other as you move up and down the board. It’s a good way to find those wobbly transitions (bunny ears) that are so easy to build into computer boards.

Dang. That was a quick response. I just tried that, and it doesn’t seem to be working? As soon as I click and hold the mouse button, the info (coordinates, thickness, etc) and vertical line stop cold, and my slice doesn’t do any flowing intoo other slices. Am I just doing something wrong? Or maybe my mouse is set up different?

Press the SLICES tab

see the yellow line on the outline?

press SHIFT + click and hold

scroll the yellow line from left to right on the outline, see the cross-section flow…

Ask yourself “why doesn’t the cross-section flow reflect the rocker contour as well?” I dunno.

did you get the memo about once you have a point activated, you can use the arrow buttons to move it? I didn’t know that one until about 2 weeks ago

also, and this is not to say youre an idiot, but just because I feel like sharing this::: did you know in Word or almost any Windows based word-processing function, holding down CTRL and using the arrow keys jumps you from word to word? Lots of people don’t know that–I find it very handy–highlight faster by holding SHIFT and CTRL at the same time too

Ahh!!! The shift key did the trick. MAN thats cool!!! Haha.

Off topic a smidge… But if you like the CTRL+SHIFT+Arrow thing in Word, you might dig this:
