is an update available for AKU Shaper with 3d, anti-aliasing, etc.?

3D but if there’s anti-aliasing I haven’t found it. Crashed the 3D every time I tried it last night, about 3 times

same here, I got two boards to work well and its REALLY cool to play with, but I tried countless other boards that crashed the program…shoots

Do you notice what makes it crash? I was thinking it was the light function–like after I modify a drawing, if I left the lights on, it won’t bring the board back in the bay, but the rest of it still works.

I really like the “machine” function to rock the board back and forth and look at how the rocker interacts with the bottom line–I was looking at it today to see if I could figure the rocker’s entry onto waves for wave-catching.

Still needs anti-aliasing if you ask me, although they say it’s more accurate without–I don’t see how

If i open a second file it won’t display the 3D shots, and often only displays the measurements for the previous file. Have to close Aku down and reopen it. But 3D is a useful feature

no crashes here yet and got some old files into the bay, kept bangin my head on the lights tryin to get a close up of the wall.

mine updates itself as long as im connected to the net

it’s workin’ for me (first board only…if i change boards, program needs to be reloaded for 3d image to render).

I LOVE IT!!!

(and what will soon be my friend Andy’s new quad egg looks friggin’ AWESOME!!!)

There are some dead give aways now which saves me some machine profiling fees. Very handy.

seems buggy as hell to me, but it might be the import export from the other CAD – I’ll choose the other if that’s what it is though

Had one crash on a 3d remodel but not convinced it was entirely the software at fault, adobe software update launched in the back ground.

will need a couple days to send it through its paces though for sure.

You linux, mac or windows J?

For those of you having problems if you send me the following I can look into it:

  • your .brd files that aren’t working well

  • your OS

  • your version of Java that you’re using

  • specific description of the problem you’re having

Sorry about the problems. For the most part, things have been pretty smooth with all the operating systems and their different versions but we’d like to eliminate as many problems as we can that people are having.
