I just put together a little promo for Tom & Jon Wegener, featuring their alaias being ridden by Ryan Burch & Eric Snortum. I thought a few Swaylockers might like to take a peek.
Here’s the link:
Enjoy.

Nice, Nathan. You do make elegant little films.

Sweet!
All I have to do now is…
Shape like that
Get waves like that
Surf like that
One can dream.

Looks nice, I love to see how people ride these alaias. It looks so easy, never tried it but its probably really difficult!
It’s a pitty this video plays in shock on my pc. I hate flash movies, my pc can play dvd’s, it can even play HD-vid’s with some quality loss, I’m not buying a new one to be able to play stupid flash. (sorry this has nothing to do with your movie, I’m just a bit frustrated with all the flash-content these days)
From what I was able to see (it was more a slideshow), I LOVE IT. Respect for the alaia riders!
Thanks for the kind feedback gents. I was just fortunate enough to be there overseas to witness the meeting between great surfers & great boards. It was a privilege & pleasure to document.
It is always nice to see your work oldy. Short and sweet, the Wegener’s should be stoked!
Beautiful surfing as well. The alaia in the right hands is so pleasurable to watch…
Sick! Pure fun and creativity that these little boards foster
I get frustrated sometimes when the video stream freezes when it catches up with the downlode(or whatever is happening). But, when watching Oldy’s video it froze in a spot where the kid was in an impossible looking soul arch. I thought,‘wow, that would make a fine photo.’ Beautiful, pure surfing being done on those boards. Oldy, thanks for sharing. Mike
de nada mike. nice to hear from you.
