there is a low lying fog tha eminates in marsh lands near the coast and valleys in california ,yes the california of ancient history,Indians ,spaniards ,
vaquerros >cowboys, trappers ,miners ,catholic friars,imaginative poets ,journalists,stage coach robbers,earthquake heros,baseball players,drilling rig roust abouts,farmers,brocerros,country pop musicians,
the tall grass that grows in the marshes is Tule grass.
this low fog can happen at any season
you litteraly are un able to see your hand before your face
and there is no wind-glassy beyond belief
paddling out in these conditions may be an exclusive
element of the california surfing experience
take for granted in a situation like this
you cannot tell either how big
it is or where the next wave
is coming from
when you reach the invisible line-up.
tule fog,you gotta live the experience to
grasp the reflection on the california
depth of field
so easily overlooked
when apprehending it
from the contemporary world view
that is, in a headlong lockstep
