time has been flying recently, got called back to the big smoke for some critical installation work which ended up being 2 1/2 weeks booked in at 'advanced rate', lets just say i could live in the uk for a good month on my daily rate!! so i managed to squeeze in finishing this board which has been on the racks since summer.. i didnt get chance to shape myself a new longboard from Balsa's template as i am off to Morrocco on saturday for 6 weeks!! cant wait.
anyhow its 5'8 x 21 x 3 shaped from a 7'2 blank, first time with glass-ons, went ok but defo room for improvement, few minor aesthetic issues such as slight sanding thru pinlines and a patch through the gloss but wanted to see how flat i could get it so didnt repair as its only for me and negligable really.

It doesn’t get any better than making yourself a cool board, and going surfing. I was a bit envious, until I realized I’m going surfing myself right now. I hope everyone here gets to do the same right now, but I hope they don’t show up where I a going.
Howzit surfingdog, As one who has owned quite a few vanagons, is yours longer than usual since I have never seen one with that panal between the drivers door and the window and it almost looks like an island car with the rust. Aloha,Kokua
