Do any Aussies on the East coast know anything about Ziegler? I’d like to know a little more about them if possible.
This one is shaped by Hilary Ziegler, no 894, 6’5", Mogo Surf Craft, on a Dion Blank.
I’m looking to restore the beast (possibly stripping the glass down the sides of the coloured strip and reglassing) if anyone has any tips or opinions on what i should do it would be greatly appreciated.
I spent some time at Bodalla years back ,and bought a board from Mogo . It was a tin shed you could see from the highway, just near the Mogo turn-off. If you know any of the Broulee-Moruya crew they may be able to help.
a friend of mine has had a couple of Zeiglers. ad68 on here had them and gave them to another mate of ours who moved up to live around Lismore while studying and he ended up meeting Mr Zeigler and talking to him about the boards. i don’t think his name was Hilary though and they were 70’s single fins rather than thrusters. i think one of the boards came from the South Coast of NSW as ad68 was living in Bermagui for a while.
apart from that i don’t have any fresh information.
