Any Good Materials Supply Source in Europe?

Have a friend in Italy is just starting out and needs supplies, including blanks and resin. Any good sources in Europe? Better off to ship from USA? Italy does have a high import tax…

thanks

Hi Moku, try viral.fr . They are my main supplier with blanks from Burford, Just Foam, TBF and a few others, Hexcel cloth, Silmar resins and a lot of other goods (fins, accessories…)

Also Seabase. (UK and France).

I’ve had very good experiences (twice) with atuacores, based in France. They don’t supply polyester resin and polyurethane blanks, but they do supply EPS end epoxy. Also fins, plugs, fibreglass and everything else you’ll need to make a board. Good thing is they accept Paypal…

I second that: Atuacores is the way to go if you’re into EPS/epoxy. Use PierreB’s “Surfdesigner” software (especially developped for their website) and design your own blank (outline and rocker). It will then be numerically cut, packed into its own off-cuts and sent to you together with cloth and resin and fins and everything you might like. All you will have to do is shape the rails and the concaves/vee in the bottom and you’re good to glass. If you’re unsure about designing yourself, just choose one of Jeffrey’s shapes.

R & G in Germany have pretty competitive prices for a lot of things. Plus they will send you a catalogue with all the prices, easier than ringing round a bunch of places to find what they stock.
