this board is 7’7 / 19 1/2/ 3

ive looked around a bit and cant find any thing about this board

any info would be greatly apreciated

Obviously a professional made board, and a custom, but so were all boards those days.

Just a standard medium wave board of it's time, I"v shaped over 200 of them in SanFrancisco.  7'11" blank works great for those.

I know nothing about the names involved.

Are you saying that all boards were “custom” in the late 70s?

Not true. Not at all.

Custom, as in hand made, one at a time.  Shaped separately without a CNC machine, hand glassed.

I'm sure the templates were all pre made.

The board COULD have been shaped with the owner in mind, but more likely just a shaped blank off the rack and signed for the new owner.

The 7802 could be that # of board ever shaped or a code for '78 and #2 of that design.

I hated to walk into WiseSurfboards and see one of PeeWee's glass jobs, my shape, RalphEhni color spray, on the relic behind the counter.  Embarrasing shapes, what were we thinking?  We don't ride Pipe every day, or G land Indo.

Those boards worked great at OceanBeach, most with almost flat tails (V but little rocker), the narrowness of the tail enabling them to turn on fast waves, but tripping all over themselves when used at Pedro or SantaCruz.
