Hey y’all,
I’m making my annual road trip up the coast to see my family, been scoring some really good waves along the way. Got Camel Rock in Humboldt REALLY good the last couple of days and tomorrow i’m on to Coos Bay, Oregon to see my dad. i’m hoping to surf in Crescent City along the way but north of the boarder my wave knowledge gets pretty sparse.
I was hoping that there were some fellow swaylockians in the South Coast area who might be interested in showing me around. I know a few spots in the ol’ Coos, I surfed Bastendorf (I think thats what it’s called) once and saw a few more places near the botanical gardens (the Cape maybe?).
Was wondering if anyone could help educate me on tides, winds, swell direction, things of that sort. Would also be cool to talk story/shop over a few beers. I’d love to return the favor if any of you northerners ever make it to the Santa Cruz/San Fran area. Well thanks for any input, I wish good surf and good times to all
