Anyone have specs or dimensions for FCS fins?

I’m looking at making a wooden keel fin that is FCS compatible. Does anyone have a guide with specs or dimensions for the “tenens” or “knobs” that would fit into the FCS plugs and how far apart to space them?

the tabs ?

do you have an existing board with plugs already in it ? [ I ask, because … the third plug is the same distance apart as the other two are on a ‘normal’ fcs fin…]

From measuring my plastic p.o.s. gs f.c.s. fin […intial mania !]

the ‘tabs’ are…

3/4" wide , 17/32" deep

and about 1 10/32" apart [from the front of the back tab , to the back of the front tab …

does that make sense ? I hope so …

( and , in cms, it’s… much easier …

2cm wide , 1.5cms deep

and 3.3cms apart

[multiply by 10 , if you prefer working in “mms” ! ]

I wonder if F.C.S. actually has this stuff on their website ? [… or , would it be 'copyright ', I wonder??]

oh , by the way … the THICKNESS of the tabs ??

7-8/16" [c. 1/4"] of an inch [about .6 of a cm?]

if you are making wood [then fibreglassing ] keels …make the tabs smaller and thinner , to allow for lots of glass on the tabs , and drill out the grub screw hole , and fill it with resin and milled fibre …epoxy resin for the fins , preferably [I reckon it’s stronger…but that’s just my opinion , I might be wrong…]

here’s a homemade fibreglass one …I hope this is to scale ? [scanned]

Note that these tabs on this keel ARE a little ‘out’ from the measurements I gave , to allow the fin to move back and forewards a little in the plugs…
