Anyone need about $25 worth of stuff from surfsource.net?

Ok, I tried this over at the “other” design forum… Got a few "Totally interested"s, but nobody followed through.

I returned some goods that I didn’t end up needing, and unwittingly got sucked into the “store credit only” vortex. They have some stuff that I could usually use for making a board, but at this point in my projects they have literally nothing I need to use that store credit for.

So, who needs about $30 worth of stuff from www.surfsource.net? That would be including shipping, so figure that into the deal. Probably about $25 worth of merchandise.

Here’s what I’d like to barter for: A matched set of side fins, any size above about 3", I can cut down to use as forward canard fins, so it is ok if they are FCS with tabs broken off, just as long as they are matched. I also need a standard white futures center box.

Now if you just bought this stuff (2 side fins any style + Futures center box) from Fiberglasssupply.com, it would run you $16.50 +shipping… You’d still come out ahead. However, if you happen to have the side fins already in your possesion, you could get this $30 worth of merchandise at surfsource for the cost of the futures box+shipping= Probably about $7. Hell of a deal, right?

Am I pinching pennies here? Probably. But my little woman is starting to give me the “when will those boards be done, mess be cleaned up, endless drain on our account be stopped” talks, so I need to strap it in whenever at all possible. Plus, like I said, I have that damned $30 credit, and nothing to spend it on, and I just hate to see it go to waste.

Any takers?? Pm me with a shipping address, description of what you need from surfsource, and your solemn word as a swaylocks member that you’ll follow through, and I’ll message back with where you can send the fins and fin box, and I’ll have your order in on the next business day.

First serious response takes it.

Hey Mr. Shwuz. I have a couple glass on white side fins if you’re interested. Don’t know if that suits your needs or not…

Well… Maybe… See, what I’m planning to do is just cut the tips off of regular side fins, but leave a single fcs-sized tab sticking out the bottom so I can stick 'em in a single fcs plug for use as twinzer/c-5 lead fins. I was thinking something molded would probably be easier to cut than fiberglass. Last time I tried to cut fin stock with a jigsaw, I went through three blades just getting an outline.

however, if you wanted to cut the tabs in for me, then we would certainly have a deal.

So if I gave you 2 side fcs fins with the tabs and a center future box you have a deal. email me Spazsurf@cox.net

Sold, to the spastic man in front!
