Had that red box thing with all the weird text too, once I changed and updated to my correct timezone in "My Account" it went away. As far as the other stuff, well yeah, I'm just as clueless.

To upload pics from Photobucket or other photo hosting sites:
Click on the little mountain/sun looking thing (image) in the at the top of the comment box.
You'll get a pop up window (Image Properties) and paste your URL from your photo hosting site, you don't need to put the [img] brackets.
Click on the Green OK button and then click Save.
This is on a Mac but I would imagine it's the same on PC.
