art

Hey guys,

Check out my latest artwork with the posca pen.

Any feedback is well apreciated.

Aloha,

Rich

damn…i’m impressed

Man! You’‘ve got the gift bro’. I was wondering how you blend color (like on the Tiki head art, there is some purple that fades into another color)? My pens always get wrecked even when I just touch another color by accident!

the room they have reserved for me at the asylum has an extra cot.if you wanna book it ?..ambrose… they let us draw a lot

That’s awesome man, what’s a Posca Pen?

Thanks mate, you just made my stuff look CRAP.

Sweet lookin Graphics!

I like the tikis. (Wish I could draw like that!)…

The demons, ho hum…

aloha,

K

Hey george in reply to yours.

I use from dark to lighter color. This is not like aribrushing were you spray from light to dark.

Ex, rred for some flames red and then yellow ,they will blend.

Try paint like you’re scratching motion.

Hope this helps.

Oh use the top orf your wrist as a color board, mix the colors ther first.

The pens are non toxic.

Aloha,

Rich

Hye Backyarder,

Posca pens are water based paint markers.

When you use them the colors can be blend together and this is what you could do.

Aloha,

Rich

Hey Ambrose,

Whats the asylus, Explain a little bit more.

Aloha ,

Rich

Thanks man, I’ll track them down somwhere here in Perth

I see, so the pen is used to do that scratching motion. Doesn’t you pen get all messed up? For example my yellow tipped pen will get all kinds of orange from hitting the red. Then from that point onward the yellow pen never makes normal yellow, always with an orange stripe… …kind of makes me want to go to an asylum. Arrrrrgh.

oh man i cant wait for ambrose’s post for this one. it should be an instant classic

by the way the drawings look amazing, i have always wanted to try but i would probably end up with stick figures and horribly mishaped creatures.

asylum is aplace for the tortured and tired to rest far from the grief and mundane of the world bounded by the sanity of accepted society…ambrose… oft called the Insane asylum… I take it you wern’t talking about somthing else

all my water colors are the same color too just like them pens

its hard when they touch ,like the potatos and the peas…Yucchk

…van gogh as played by kirk douglas wiped his brushes in his mouth ,the lead base wwas suspect…to have affected his …ah…head.and growing awareness of bold colors direct from the tube…chroma brings life to the work… working with polyester is a liberating color medium the pigments are so mixable…the problems with the lead are replaced by problems with the dinasaur residue in the petrochemical based resin… a day in the resin pit…you degin to hear Pteradactyls over head whistling sweet melodies to their ovspring suspended in the trees watching for the green flash… ambrose

…are we there yet?

Hey Tim

Where abouts are you in Perth? Jacksons Art Supplies are the place to go and get your stuff.

cheers

Hicksy

OMG!!!

I was glassing today; and I thought I heard those “dactyls” things singing (the radio wasn’t on either)

Ambrose, you’re scarin’ me man… …too close to home.

ps. I was at your shop in Nov. It’s painted chroma yellow, right? Or am I trippin?

Yep yellow thats it with the colored resin on plywood all over the place…photo eye candy, the shutter bugs go sampling like a crazy scratch D.J. sampling riffs outa motown jazzman baselines…always closer t’ home than you may wish to expect…just close your eyes an’ take a deep breath and exhale slowly…even if you are not filling up a mat…ambrose…maybe tomorrow

Thanks Hicksy, I’m down in Safety Bay, with a Jackson’s nearby, where are you?
