Don’t you think it’s ironic that the big surf co’s use perfect waves in their marketing (the search for the perfect wave) but then do a contest at San Fran?? … Or they send their surf team on a boardshort shoot in Indo, then have a huge extravaganza at HB with BMX and spray-on logo tattoos.
I read an interview (link below) with the ASP about why they don’t have an event in Indo. They’re saying funding is the issue… But it’s 12 years since the first G-Land pro and people still talk about it, so there must be some value there…
