I’m getting ready to glass my board and I was wondering at what stage of the job should I install the vent? How should I keep the resin from flowing into the plug or locking in the screw?

I drilled a hole in the deck after laminating, then fitted the vent when the board was finished, that way no resin in threads and the eps can breathe when you cure the board.
