AWWWWWW, I was looking forward to riding that again one day, it felt so good for me…
1- we have had no surf.
2- no ones come and asked for it at all.
3- not like anything me or any of my staff would ride by choice on the gold coast.
4- maybe we are spoilt with boards here on the goldy but i am at least 3 boards behind myself in my own r+d

When the auslocks gets here its coming to get some big barrels with me… it’s a good length for some of the reefs around here and i love widowmakers.
I will be driving to Dave’s shop tomorrow and would love to check out the board…
Hope I can handle the “weird board”!? Not exactly hat I am used to ride but you never know until you go.

Thanks Ben! i feel privilaged to be able to ride it. the plan is to surf it at my home break in good quality waves and then at one of the Forresters Reefs (preferably the big empty right bombie) as both of the widowmaker setups. It will be nice to ride a proper gun size board in some big waves hopefully… if its small i’m sure i’ll be playing around with the fin setup.
If the surf is small when the Auslocks finally gets there, maybe try the carbon fibre single fin I made for it , Josh .
I think you will find that it flexes a bit . I’d be keen to hear what you think !

I got the board from Dave. Unfortunately the swell is small and very messy up on the north end of the Goldie so I didn’t ride it yet. If you don’t mind Dave, I would keep it till that new swell arrives (Monday or Tuesday).
If there is anybody else interested in riding the Auslocks board around the northern beaches of the Gold Coast let me know!!!
