Hey Chip, I think it's settling on the mid coast, for the time being. Victoria and Tasmania are now getting smashed, big time. There are two cyclones off the coast now, the surf is up, but the water is brown, still 5 to 600 hundred guys out. The weather forcaster said last night that the 1st cyclone named Vania, I think, is going to hang out there for a while and then on Jan 28th hit Tweed Coolangatta land, he was confident. Hope not. Brazil has been hit much harder , with more than 400 dead. The southern hemisphere is going mental, fuck I hate to say it , but this site is and has always been more concerned with fixing dings or fishes, H.
Just to let you know why I said that, it's been 2 days since anyone asked.
Chip,
I think Coffs is oke, see news below. Grafton has been at risk and further north. levels are now dropping.

Big issue is now the clean-up.
Bob
if you are nearby , please help with the clean up, it is a massive task and brings tears to your eyes to see it and see what some families have lost and nowhere to go...now the insurance issues....very sad times to a great city, no waves but a great place none the less....
Our thoughts, prayers and good vibes go out to all those affected.
I hope all you Queenslanders are holding up alright. There are some heroic deeds being done by ordinary people, and so many sad stories of children and adults drowned that its hard to believe.
The 13 yr old boy who gave up his place for his younger brother and mother to be saved and was 'gone' when they came back for him is just tragic. Young people cop a lot of crap they don't deserve all too often, and this is a good example of 'cometh the hour..cometh the man'
We're ok on the North Coast , just minor flooding in isolated spots.
I wish the politicians would stop using this tragedy as an opportunity for their next election though and stop the 'us & them' talk, or at least save it for when the football season starts again.
im in Vicco and its happening down here too, not as bad but you never know whats coming.
Thanks Mate, appreciate your concern, just like the guy said on TV, it's good to know someone cares. If anyone needs to know how to put a finbox in , please pm me, H.
Thoughts and prayers going out to you guys and your countrymen, stay strong.
Looks like vicco getting it now. Stay safe guys. Terrible

I had a frog in my throat when I saw that on the news. The little fella showed a lot of older men what manhood is about.
To get an idea of the extent of the Brisbane floods: Put your mouse on the black line on each photo and drag it across to the left.

Bob
The little guy gave his life for his younger brother, the Mum also died, I cried watching his Dad do the eulogy on the news last night, poor liitle guy won't get to be a man.
Yeah Harris that story was seriously f@*ked up, my thoughts go out to all Queenslanders who just got hit by yet another Cyclone…really heavy stuff.
Howzit marsh,I saw some picture of the destruction on the news tonight and 180 MPH winds are insane. I just hope nobody was killed and one thing I have learned after going through 2 myself is there will be work for people to rebuild what the damage did. Aloha,Kokua
