I tried out my $60 ozito plunge router from bunnings yesterday for my boxes and leash plug. Worked unreal. I've used a plunge router before, but the good ones dont have good vision around the cutting tip, which means you can't see where you're cutting. Being a cheapo, the ozito works fine. I even used it to trim down the exposed lip, so it only took 20 mins of sanding and the boxes were finished.
For $60 with a 3 year warranty it’s quite unbelievable, no wonder GMC went out of buisness doing this. Dust extractor works really well on it too for a cheap tool. Depth adjustment is rubbish, the motor in mine broke after 2 months I got my $60 back and bought a different machine. For $60 it’s good value. Happy days.
I saw it and um'd and ah'd, but for the price, thought i'd try it. I only do one board a year, and its only for boxes and plugs, so it should last a while im hoping!.
