[ As a follow on from the 'herbed tints 'thread… for anyone interested ?]

 

 Well , my curiousity got the better of me , and I DID end up trying to use beetroot juice , as a TINT,  in a fin panel

 

  result ?

 

are you familiar with the 'oil on water ’ effect ?

 

  oh well … nothing  ventured , nothing gained !

 

  powdered beetroot may work , however .

 

 ( I’m sure it is to do with the amount of vinegar in CANNED  beetroot , that I ended up with the  " separation’’ effect .)

 

[maybe]  to be continued , IF I find POWDERED beetroot or similar .  That typed , on visiting my surfboard supplies guy today , I discovered he IS willing to sell me proper resin tint .   :slight_smile:
