before I blow a bunch of money

Just want to check in and get some feedback and make final corrections before I start my new board. I drew it up because I dont want to make a several hundred dollar wall hanger that wont float.

some artwork I just finished…Im going to posca it onto the next shortboard I do. Its called “study for the raft of medusa” its a repro I did for my drawing class. I might try to put it into color like the original (original “raft of the medusa” was a painting by gericault)

O ya, sorry for my terrible hand writing…im an artist, and cant deal with letters very well. kinda ironic. any questions on dimensions or things u cant read…just drop a reply and ill clarify.

you might want to clean your drawings up if you want feedback…and especially if those are templates.

its more for the overall dims and ideas on materials…for instance…

triple 6 deck

double 6 bottom

nose concave measuring 24" long

10 ribs (do I need more for support?)

3.5" thick at center

1.5" thick for nose and tail (@ 12" back)

what to use to hold the ribs to the center beam

etc…

the actual drawing scribbles are for my own mental idea of what i’m aiming at…i wouldnt expect anyone to understand them well.

Is that going to be stip planked a la Paul Jensens hollows? If so, 3x6oz is WAY to much glass. It only adds weight. One layer would do.

regards,

Håvard

Hey Scott,

I really like your ‘scratch paper’ with all the doodles and such. I think it would look good ‘on’ a board. kind of like a blue print. and you can look at it years from now and see what you were thinking about that time.
