I had an MTB version of this board ( I think it was 5’8") in Melborne Beach,Fla back around '80. It was fun and I want to make one now. I am 5’9" and 168 lbs ( and now 52!). Thinking I can get away with a board as short as 6’2" for the generally dismal southeastern U.S. conditions. What is the best blank option 6’2" C OR 6’8" P ?
hi Alex !
I don’t know about the Clark foam blank [we have different blanks here in Australia ] ,
…but I hope this photo and article will give you some good dimensions / outline ideas . [Bear in mind M.R. is pretty tall , so you might want to scale it down a little for your size .]
As you can see from the article too , this is his original world title winning board , NOT the thinner , more rockered twinner [back fcs plugged] ones around now…
Anyway , I hope this helps you …
cheers !

Alex , please let me know if you do go ahead and make one , as I have some other shots of other M.R. twinnies I’ve come across too. Also , I’m seriously considering having a go at making a similar board myself one day …
Alex , I just built a set of MR glass twin fins for Edge Fin System! If you like try let me know ???
Aloha, Have a great surf ! Clyde www.edgefins.kauaistyle.com
Thanks for the input. I’ll go with the short 6’2" C and post a pic when I’m done.
