fish movies?..i vote for FINDING NEMO!!!
but seriously, gotta love “Sprout”. also, although not a movie, there’s some good fish ridin’ in Beau Young’s “Firsthand” on FuelTV.
Has to be Jaws and it’s on TV on tuesday night.
Has to be “Sprout” and “Litmus”…
I believe there’s some in “glass love” .
And I reckon “hydrodynamica” , when it’s released , should be well worth watching !
Now …
did anyone ever get footage of Steve Lis in the 1970s ??
ben
[also , there’s a few waves of Nuuhiwa’s at huntington beach for "that " contest , in “going surfing” , I think it is ?]
“Glass Love” is next on my buy list. Damn US-AUS exchange rate is killing me though…
I vote for “The Incredible Mr. Limpet.” Mike

-----Warren Bolster has some
Most likely THE best footage you will ever see would be Lis on his kneeboard from 30 yrs ago ridinga fish as it was designed
Surfguns – you definately gotta get SPROUT - don’t F*** around, just get it. Excellent - good Fish clips, + all sorts of other craft. (even an D Solomonson surf mat)
I recently got A BROKEDOWN MELODY thinking it was going to have a lot of fish and other type boards in it - but it was largely standard board. Still a good flick, a film actually, especially when compared to the Taylor Steel video-shot type of stuff.
There’s a flick called FINS, which looks like it has a lot of Fish, Bonzer, Quad - you name it alternative boards clips. It’s on pre-sale at www.surfhistory.com (these guys ship quick - i live in Panama and get the flicks in my hand in less than a week)
Hi All
glass love has some nice fish / non shortboard footage - worth the $$
also the jbay video ‘sessions’ has one section of great fish action…
can anyone point me to a url where i can get thehydrodynamica and fins dvds?
as ever
keen to learn…
ps any news on the GG dolphin glide project?
I’m not sure these would qualify as “best” fish footage but:
“Searching for Tom Curren” has about 3 minutes of who-da-ya-think on a fish
“Way of Live” has a few minute of Tim Stamps fishing at HB
“We Got Surf”, has a lot of MR style twin fins, circa 1980 or so.
LOST has one of the greatest fish movies ever…but the whole movie can’t compare to curren getting shacked on an 8 foot day in indo on a 5 11"

I don’t know if The Surfer’s Path still has the offer going, but you can get Glass Love, a t-shirt, and a year’s subscription for a VERY good price. I have been very pleased with the shirt, the movie, and the subscription.
Walter
As a disclaimer, I am in no way associated with The Surfer’s Path, or related published magazines. I just like it.

I thought the deal was for Litmus, not Glass Love?
Thanks for the heads-up though, I’ll check it out…
where on the web can I checkout a trailer for Hydrodynamica? I did a google search and didn’t find it.
Hey Chip - thanks! I’m checkin’ it out now.
Rgds!
no worries mate !
good articles in that “all about surf” , eh ?
[I wish they’d release it in newsagents]…or ,
if I had a printer , it would be good to print them out , bind them , and …
…you’d have a very good , cheap , surf reference library !
ben
more Andrew Kidman …
You are very right. I actually picked up the Glass Love movie when it came and played nearby. I got Litmus from the magazine at about the same time. My bad.
