a friend of mine who was unable to attend my wedding next weekend gave me a call a few days ago and told me to pop down. so off i popped we went into his shed and he produced a brand new top of the range fume extractor, i dont know how he found out that i was going to have to get one in a few weeks and it was in no way going to be as good as this one.

just wondering what your friends have surprised you with?
I had a partner in my Daily Joy factory in Cocoa Beach back in the mid 70’S. He and my gal just did not get along, he flipped and broke up our parnership in the middle of the night by backing up a U-Haul and cleaning it out of everything but my Skil Planer. I had no boards, no tools, no materials and no money. A customer from Daytona beach came to see me and I related my tale of terror, a few days later, he arrived with a bandsaw, stringers, blank clamps (he had purchased them from the old Daytona Surfboards)and a hefty oder for boards with a big deposit.
