.....I guess patents were invented / developed , because of this sort of shameless copying , eh ?! [it's just a pity that they take so long , and cost so much to get , isn't it ! ]

Unless I am mistaken these fins have nothing to do with Roy. I’m pretty sure I know the guy who makes them. I have no idea who stole who’s idea, or if any laws moral or legal have been broken. I just wanted to clear up that particular misconception.
In terms of New Zealand geography, Gisborne is many hours drive from Roy’s home town. It looks close on the map, but Gisborne is isolated by some very rugged mountains.
Anyway, hopefully you guys can sort out any disagreements you have.
Hi Ben, Ive been surf-tripping around QLD with my son for a few weeks so I havent logged in for a while.
As a younger man, I used to think I owned what I made but I recently read an article by Tom Morey where he said its better to just make / invent it and offer it up for public view, someone might run with the idea and make a fortune but hey.. you still get the kudos of being the inventor. Now Im a bit older I can see the wisdom.
Similarly with Roy, I have mellowed and I think he had a special kind of magic with what he does, not that he needs my recommendation. Prophet, visionary, dickhead or internet pest, hes still doing it 'his way'. As a fellow oddball, I can appreciate his drive and commitment.
I now realise that I shouldve posted more of my ideas here on Sways because Im sure there have been some spectacular ideas that have burst from other creative minds, been carved into reality in a distant shed somewhere, only to wither and die as the inventor clutched his idea to his chest determined to never share his idea without adequate financial renumeration.
Bah !
What a way to miss out on the joy of sharing. I love the comments here on Sways that bring up new variations I didnt think of, and if nothing else , my idea is here for all to see and maybe build their own. If someone wants to copy or use my ideas, theyre welcome, up to a point.

i guess , reading my post now , hours later , i was having a bad day , and shoulda buttoned it [or , preferably , gone SURFING !!]
hopefully a surf will fix that tomorrow morning , then ..... knuckle down , get some assignments done , relax !!
......and maybe unwind with some fin panel making , time permitting .... otherwise , FRIDAY , perhaps ?
a nice little bank at the beach this week so hopefully it will still be there tomorrow , too ..............
