I think a wider nose would make it easier to learn on. Just a thought.
peppe, An egg would be good way to go, or even a funboard shape around that same size.She will get the float and width for learning but than as she progresses she can really start to make it move… Mark

I checked out your page and saw some of your pics. It looks like you are measuring out your points, drawing the planeshape and cutting out the planeshape on the deck side of your blank. How long have you been shaping like this? I have never seen or heard of this. I have always, & been told to plot the dimensions and trace your template to the bottom of the blank so that you get a better trace off the template. Not to mention that the blank is flatter on the bottom and you don’t have to deal with the dome in the deck when measuring. Am I missing out on something? Just wondering?
