Bill Shrosbree / Con Surfboards/ CC Rider?

I’ve read that Bill Shrosbree shaped for Con in the 60’s. If so, I was wondering if he might have been responsible for the CC Riders and Claude Codgen Lightweight Models? My friend and I have a few CC Riders…my CC Rider Lightweight is very similar to my other friend’s Surfboards by Joel Tudor Classic Pintail.

Thanks.

Well, I’m given to understand that Claude Codgen is still alive, well and living in florida, ( see http://www.sunshinesurfboards.com/ ) or you could ask at the source:

http://www.consurfboards.com/contact.html - who actually shaped which board is prolly something that varies board by board.

hope that’s of use

doc…

i believe steve brom also shaped for con – not sure what he designed etc — steve?

Bill Shrosbree says that he in fact did shape the original CC Rider for Con Surfboards. Visit http://FreshPineapples.com for more information about Bill Shrosbree and his latest shapes.

Con’s shaping crew also included Tak Kawahara and Ernie Tanaka at one time or another.

Tak posted here recently.

Uncle Tak, you out there?

johnny rice also shaped for con way back

CC Rider .... Claude was the stylist ... the natural.  Looked better falling off than the rest of us did riding.  Phenominal talent

I agree with Greg. Claude was incredible. Pure glide and style. I don’t think he was shaping for Con back then. He was primarily the surfer and sales person. I guess you could ask him. I am pretty sure he is still shaping in Melbourne. The original CC Riders were very popular boards on the East Coast.
