Bill Shrosbree

Not sure but I believe that Bill Shrosbree is no longer shaping for Joel Tudor Surfboards. I have a Shrosburger made under the JT Label (round pin egg) that I absolutely love. I’d like to have another on made just like it to put away up in the rafters for a rainy day. Is there any way of ordering a board from Mr. Shrosbree direclty?

Many thanks.

The Shroz IS still shaping for Joel Tudor

Sure! Call me at (760) 815-4009. Shros

I’ve got a Shrosbree shaped 9’ 4" OJT. It is my favorite longboard all time! Hands down! I love it so much, I’m planning on making a copy so I can hang the original up in the living room and save it for the good days. Thanks Bill.

I have a 9'4 Shros Shaped under Joel Tudor Label "Papa Joe" Model.  I rode it 1x just not my style. Anyone have any interest?   Thanks

Bill is a great man and a great shaper.  It has been a pleasure to know him through the years.  He’s made great boards for so long his name is often kept out of the mix, because he’s not trendy, just good.  The Tudors should pay him more than what they are paying him.

I agree with you Ghettorat. When I was in high school. My friend told me about Sunset Surfboards in Encinitas. He told me about this guy named Shros. A few years later I met him. What a cool guy. So encouraging. Years later, we were room-mates, sort of. We shared shop together. What a incredible craftsman with a deep history in this business. Taught me many tips. Man, he can finish a board clean. Defiantly the man for tint-quality boards. Also a man with larger than life personality. I tip my hat to you Shros, your friend, Barry Snyder.

Shros, is a great craftsman, so is Barry.  It’s made my life better to know both of them.

I have a sweet 8'10" Sunset from the late 70s shaped by Bill.  Glassed by Mickey Bednarek.  Mickey sold to me in 1980-81 when he went to work for WRV (conflict of interest??).  High performance longboard before it became a "buzz" word.   That board got me surfing again after being landlocked in pharmacy school for 3 yrs.  For that I am grateful to Bill and Mickey.
