Bill T--------Here's one for you.

On Ebay----------   A '60's Hansen.   Look closly at the tailblock.   Ebay item #120690815335      Sorry don't know how to link to Ebay or bring pictures over from their site.  Sweet lookin' board.    Lowel

Ebay says no match for that number.    I double checked!

It’s a 9’6" that is supposedly mint condition and the seller claims it was never used. Ever. While the photos don’t show it, the seller claims it is signed by Don Hansen on the deck, in Sharpie.

Correct item # is120690815335.

Opening bid is $1199

It seems you cannot hot link images on Ebay. So, I copied them and here they are:

Well, well, well, how your past comes back to haunt you!   Based on the board number, I shaped that board in the summer of 1965!  It's hard to believe that the board is 46 years old.    And that it remained unridden.     I bet there is an interesting story about that, if true.   It appears to be a custom order.    Nonstandard tailblock, and nonstandard fin, set it apart from nornal production glass fin and tailblock.

Bill…You can read what the seller says about the board’s history, here:

SammyA,

Thank you for the link.    Strange that Don would have signed the board.   I'm sure it was done many years after production.   The board appears to be in near perfect condition.   Hope it finds a good home.

My mistake on the #.  I should never try to transpose more #'s than Coronas, if you know what i mean.  Thanks Sammy.  Thought you'd appreciate it Bill.   It is my opinion that there are as many really good examples of Hansens out there at large as there are Nolls, Hobies, Bings, Jacobs etc.

The auction has ended, and the winning bid of $1,495.00, takes the board home!    I think someone got a great deal, considering the age and condition of the subject surfboard.    I'd love to see it ''up close and personal.''

Cool beyond words...
