Thank you guys - the thoughts are very flattering - it’s been a great journey.
I have met so many wonderful people along the way, and it’s still happening.
Shark, I keep one trophy only, made from monkey pod, maybe the last year Makaha had hand carved trophies.
That 1962 trophy initiated the start of the Australian surfing boom - still going.
Whenever I get the shits with surfing media and history twisters - I look at that trophy - and the real surfing world comes flooding back.
I have greatly enjoyed the Ewa Beach stories - they are full of surf lifestyle adventure - west side lifestyle.
I hope your reunion is a screamer!
